>EX:
Anne: I heard you ate at the fancy restaurant on the Elm Street. How was it?
Joey: The food’s nothing to write home about, but the service is quite good.
2.have no bearing on something ?与某事没什么关联
>EX:
Howard: What were you talking about at the meeting? It had no bearing on the issue we discussed.
Jennifer: I think it did. I’ll explain it to you later.[separator]
3.blow something out of proportion ?夸大某事的重要性
>EX:
Vincent: I think I’ll have to start the experiment again.
Helen: Wait a second! Don’t blow this out of proportion. I didn’t say that you needed to redo the whole thing. I just said you need to work more on one part of it.
